BIOGRAPHY

Hannah Simone is best known as a MuchMusic VJ, where she interviewed hundreds of artists and many of Canada’s most prominent political figures. During her tenure as a VJ, she covered major events for the program including MuchMusic Video Awards, Live Earth, and the national elections.

Simone’s hosting career began as a radio personality and associate news director for a Toronto radio station. She followed that as the host of Canada’s HGTV series Space for Living. Simone additionally spearheaded social-issue special for the MuchMusic Network including MuchTalks: AIDS and MuchTalks: Climate Change at the network.

Born in London, Simone was raised in Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, India and Canada. At age 13, her career was launched in Cyprus when she landed a modeling contract and appeared on the cover of that country’s top fashion magazine.

Simone holds a degree in international relations and political science from University of British Columbia and a degree in radio and television arts from Ryerson University. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
